Day 14: Christchurch, Friday, 17th July
I can't really remember what I did on this day, so please bear with me. I know I ran in the morning, and then sent a letter, and then went to see about moving, saw my new flat (hopefully) and was told I might be able to move in later today. However, that didn't work out, but the new flat is cleaner, which is a relief, has yet to be lived in, has a washer and dryer in it, and an oven, and individual landline phones in each room. It's also a better setup and I'm excited to get to move in, hopefully sometime next week. I talked to Tonya briefly on Skype, and my mom I think, and of course Joshua. I was going to go out to a dinner that night with Operation Friendship, which is an organization here that tries to set up international students with Kiwi families to help with the adjustment of studying overseas. I had a headache though, so I opted out for the night. I know I stayed up fairly later than I had expected, but I can't recall what I was doing...I read my Bible for a bit, and I think I got into Dickens. I also made myself some spaghetti and sat around with my flatmates before they started their party. All in all, it was an extremely boring day and I didn't do much but pass the time. Maybe tomorrow will be more exciting? Oh, and I did go to the library briefly and read a little for school. K, that's about it I think...on to tomorrow!
