Arcadia!

So, Anne wants to know about my program. Here goes: I am with Arcadia, which is a great study abroad program and they have programs all over the world. I start classes tomorrow, Monday, the 13th. I am taking four classes that have nothing to do with finance :). One is a Maori Studies class without a title currently because it's a "Special Topic." Another is "God, Mind, and Freedom" and is a philosophy class that I'm sure is going to challenge me spiritually and emotionally as I may possibly be the only believer in the class...we'll see. I'm trying to change another of my classes to be "Religion on Violence - Myths, Rituals, and History 100". It sounds interesting, which is why I chose it. And the last is "Peopling the Pacific," a sociology class about the indigenous tribes of the Pacific Islands. I'm excited to get to take these classes because they all sound extremely interesting. And I'm excited to have something else to do and another way to meet people here.
To continue on with my program, I will be going on a weekend excursion to Queenstown, a tourist city here on South Island. I think we get to go skiing and other stuff, and I've never been so I'm pumped. We also meet up with our fellow Otago students for that, so it will be good times. I think I'm going to try to grab-a-seat online to Otago (Dunedin) soon after that. I'll stay (hopefully) with Katie...............I should probably let her know :). Cheers!
